A turquoise, spring-fed pool warm enough to swim in all day.
A rope swing and palms, with views towards Kilimanjaro on clear days.
A relaxed, low-effort day, perfect after climbing.
Overview
Kikuletwa, also called Chemka, is a clear, warm pool in the dry plains of Hai. It is a favourite swim for residents and climbers, and weekdays are quiet.
The last section of track is rough, so we use a 4x4. There is little shade, so bring sunscreen and a hat. Details are on the Kikuletwa hot springs page.
